Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Rambled iPhone app, its widgets, and this informational website. It does not cover Apple, Google, or other services that have their own privacy policies.
The website does not provide a Rambled account, dashboard, or browser-based version of the app.
Information we handle
What you say and create
When you use voice capture, Rambled processes your recording and the resulting transcript so it can identify events, reminders, dates, times, and related details. Because you choose what to say, this content may include personal information about you or other people.
Calendar and reminder information
With your permission, Rambled accesses the calendar and reminder information needed to show, create, or update the items you request. Items written to Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or Apple system services remain subject to the settings and privacy practices of those services.
Google connection information
If you connect Google Calendar, Rambled receives the authorization needed to perform the calendar actions you request. Google may provide basic account information required to identify the connected calendar. Rambled does not receive your Google password.
Device, purchase, and support information
Rambled may receive limited device, app-version, crash, performance, and purchase-status information needed to keep the app working, verify App Store entitlements, and respond when you contact support. Apple processes App Store payments; Rambled does not receive your full payment-card details.
This website
This website does not include account sign-in, advertising trackers, or a Rambled web app. Like most hosted sites, its infrastructure may temporarily process basic request information such as an IP address, browser type, and request time to deliver and secure the site.
How we use information
We use information only as reasonably necessary to:
- transcribe and interpret what you choose to say;
- create, display, update, and organize events and reminders;
- connect and sync the calendar service you select;
- deliver notifications and widgets you enable;
- maintain security, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, and support the app; and
- comply with law and protect the rights and safety of Rambled and its users.
Rambled does not sell personal information, run third-party advertising in the app, or use your activity for cross-app advertising tracking.
When information is shared
Rambled may send the minimum information needed to providers that help operate voice transcription, structured extraction, cloud infrastructure, diagnostics, and customer support. These providers may use the information only to perform services for Rambled and must protect it consistently with this policy.
When you choose Apple Calendar or Google Calendar, information is shared with that service to complete your request. We may also disclose information when required by law, to address security or fraud, or as part of a business transaction where the receiving party must continue to protect the information.
Retention and deletion
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed to provide Rambled, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Voice and transcript content is retained only as needed for processing and the features you use, subject to any choices available in the app.
Events and reminders already added to Apple or Google services are controlled through those services. Deleting Rambled does not automatically remove calendar or reminder items that were previously created.
You may request deletion of personal information Rambled controls by using the developer contact shown on Rambled's App Store product page. We may need to verify the request and may retain limited information where legally required.
Your choices
- Use iOS Settings to change microphone, calendar, reminder, notification, and diagnostic permissions.
- Disconnect Google Calendar in Rambled and revoke Rambled's access from your Google Account settings.
- Edit or delete created items in the calendar or reminder service where they are stored.
- Delete the app to remove its locally stored app data, subject to iCloud or device backups you control.
- Contact us to ask about access, correction, or deletion rights available where you live.
Children
Rambled is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Rambled changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated in a reasonable way, such as through the app or this website.
